Hello everyone! Happy Monday. I am sorry to keep you all hanging for the past couple weeks. I have been having some mental health issues. So, I just had to step away to take care of that. But I am feeling much better now and am ready to catch you up. So today we are going to see what I read in March and plan to read in April!

So, in March, I read 8 books plus 3 audiobooks. I was not prepared for that number when I went gathering them up for the picture! 😀 There are 4 comics, 4 books and the one I am currently in the middle of. So I got all but This Savage Song read that was on my March tbr. I am pretty excited about that. I am currently in the middle of A Curse so Dark and Lonely. I started it with the Fairyloot readalong but decided I didn’t want to keep that schedule. But since I had started the book I needed to finish it. Lol. I also added 2 comics, Fables and Ms Marvel Vol 3. They were great! As always.

Pss.. I can’t figure out how to rotate this picture. It won’t let me like the other one… :/

Onto April! So I have these on my tbr right now. Along with the Tahereh Mafi ebook Shadow Me, I want to read that before I jump into Defy Me. I am also really excited to jump back into the world of The Rook in Stiletto! And since I was having some of my own issues I decided to pick up 10% Happier, and do some mental wellness. 🙂

Well I hope today’s post was everything you wanted. Once again I am sorry I didn’t get around to posting the last couple of weeks but since I am on the road to wellness hopefully I won’t have too many more bouts. Hello Hello! I hope it is just as nice outside wherever you are as it is here in Kansas. Today it is a beautiful 60 degree day with very little wind. I better enjoy it while it lasts.

I wanted to talk about the Outlander series today! I love this series and am currently reading it for a second time. Well, listening to it. I binged all 8 books last year on audible (1 a month, plus one of the Lord John novellas but I didn’t really care for that spin off). I started listening to it again because I started training for a 5k and wanted something other than music to listen to and since the first book is just over 40 hours I knew it would be plenty long to get me through.

Picture from Google.

If you haven’t heard of Outlander (also a show on STARZ) it is a romance time-travel series. The main character, Claire, is on vacation with her husband Frank before settling down in their first house after the war in 1945 in Scotland. She goes to this stone circle and steps through an invisible portal that takes her back to 1745 in the middle of another war. There she stumbles upon Franks great-great-great-etc grandfather Randall, who promptly tries(kinda) to rape her. Then she gets kidnapped by the Scots and lands herself patching up a young fellow named Jamie (she was a nurse during war times).

And that is all I am going to say any more would be spoiling it. But I thought since I am about 6 hours into the audio book (approx 150 pages) I would mention it. I hardly ever, if never, reread books. There are just so many new ones I want to get my hands on.

What books do you go back to time and time again? Any books you would like to reread but cant bring yourself to, for whatever reason? What are some of your favorite books on audio? Let me know in the comments or find me on Insta @ positivityandbooks or on Litsy @ Ryeannuh

Hello, all you wonderful people. I hope everyone is staying warm in this crazy winter weather we are having here in the mid-west.

So I totally forgot today was Monday because I had the day off of work for President’s day. So I’ve been super lazy all day. And I didn’t know what I was going to write about until just 2 seconds ago. 😀

I want to talk about books that I have pre-ordered already! Everything exciting coming out!

So far this year I have preordered:

Children of Virtue and Vengeance by Tomi Adeyemi– the sequel to Children of Blood and Bone (Out June 4, 2019).

Shades of Magic Vol 1: The Steel Prince by V E Schwab– this is the graphic novel of her Darker Shades of Magic series (Out March 5, 2019).

Rick and Morty Vol 9 by Kyle Starks– This is the comic version of the TV Show (Out June 25, 2019).

Defy Me by Tehereh Mafi– #5 in the Shatter Me series (Out April 2, 2019).

Broken Throne by Victoria Aveyard– A set of novellas from the Red Queen series, also includes the 2 previously published novellas Cruel Crown (Out May 7, 2019).

The Shadowglass by Rin Chupeco– #3 in the Bone Witch series (Out March 5, 2019).

The Institute by Stephen King. A standalone novel that I’m not quite sure what genre it falls into, but it sounds amazing. (Out September 10, 2019)

And one that I should have pre-ordered but it somehow passed me by was Lady Smoke by Laura Sebastian– #2 in the Ash Princess trilogy(? I think its a trilogy). That came out Feb 5, 2019. But I just got it last Tuesday the 12th.

What books are you all excited about? I know there are lots more that are coming out that I am excited for, like the next Stalking Jack the Ripper novel but I have’t read Escaping from Houdini yet so I haven’t pre-ordered it. I also did not pre-order On the Come Up by Angie Thomas but I bought that the day after it came out. I am also super excited for the sequel to An Absolutely Remarkable Thing by Hank Green. Drop a comment below so I can get excited with you about your favorite books/series!

Hello. I hope everyone had a great weekend. Did you watch the Superbowl? (if not, it was super boring!) I have a twofer for you today, since I didn’t post last week. I am starting to workout again and get myself on a better eating schedule… We will see how long that lasts. But today I am going to show you my first book haul of the year (which was what I was going to post last week) and my February reading list. 🙂

Here is my book haul!

January bookhaul

I grabbed these amazing books when Barnes and Nobles was having a 50% off sale! Everything there was less than $70. The Selection series, A Very Large Expanse of Sea, Damsel, Grim Lovelies, and Escaping from Houdini. I don’t know much about .. all but Escaping from Houdini. Lol. But they are popular and were on sale.

February reading list

And this is what I plan to read this month! I completed about 5 books in January so I am hoping I can get through all of these. I am already about 100 pages into Mother Knows Best. And I can’t wait to dive back into Amy’s Oz and see what happens next.

What is on your tbr this month? Any new exciting books you are looking forward too?

If you are looking for a great realistic romance novel this is a great choice.

Perfect Chemistry is set in a smaller town where if you were born on the wrong side of the tracks you are either poor or a drug dealer. Everyone knows that. When Brittany is paired up with Alex there is going to be trouble. Brittany is a good white girl from the North side and Alex is a mexican with a reputation. From the second they meet in Chemistry class there are sparks.

Obviously since this is a romance you can probably guess how it ends but reliving that high school experience was crazy for me. There are best friends, crazy gangs, backstabbing, and sleepovers. Now I went to a teeny tiny high school (22 kids in my graduating class). So I didn’t have near any of the drama as was in this book so that is probably a good thing. But I love reading about it.

There are 3 books in this series and all 3 focus on different characters. Rules of Attraction focuses on Alex’s middle brother, Carlos in Colorado. And the last book Chain Reaction focuses on Alex’s youngest brother, Luis. So they all intertwine with each other but I don’t think you have to read them in order.

Perfect Chemistry

Favorite Character: Alex Fuentes
